Canada_EH asked where the four NASA D-21B drones went.
D-21B (Article 522 / AMARC DA015) arrived at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC), Edwards AFB, California, from the Aerospace Maintenance and
Regeneration Center (AMARC) at Davis-Monthan AFB on 1 June 1994. Borrowed by Northrop-Grumman for study as a potential hypersonic research aircraft,
with modifications including addition of two Rocketdyne AR-2 rocket engines. Returned to DFRC on 15 July 1998. Departed to Vandenberg AFB, California,
on 4 April 2007. Scheduled to be transferred to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona.
D-21B (Article 525 / AMARC DA010) arrived at DFRC on 1 June 1994. Loaned to Blackbird Airpark in Palmdale, California on 14 October 1994.
D-21B (Article 529 / AMARC DA013) arrived at DFRC on 2 June 1994. Borrowed by Northrop-Grumman. Returned to DFRC on 15 July 1998. Departed to
Vandenberg AFB on 4 Apr 2007. Scheduled to be transferred to Davis-Monthan AFB.
D-21B (Article 537 / AMARC DA007) arrived at DFRC on 2 June 1994. Borrowed by Northrop-Grumman. Returned to DFRC on 14 July 1998. Stored at Edwards
AFB North Base on 10 May 2007. Delivered to March Field Museum, Riverside, California in July 2007.
