Hey everyone....

Meet the newest member of my family....

His name is BamBam

He is an American Long Hair, (Maine Coon) and was abandoned as a baby. The "pound" was hours away from ending this little bundle of joys life when my wife saw him and came to the rescue...

My other 3, Whiskers, Bandit and Pebbles, are not liking him much right now, but I am sure they will adapt...

He is so tiny and just likes to lay in my lap and sleep for hours...

I sure love my babies...

Well, without further ado...

Aint he cute....

Very nice looking cat. It's great that you took him in.

Great picture too.

Oh, so cute! My dad had a Maine Coon. They're pretty cool cats. She was smart, but got cranky when she got old.

Thanks Enjoies...

I am sitting here on the computer looking at him sleeping in MY SPOT on the couch.. (Gonna have to talk to him about that.. LOL) Brings a tear to my eye to think how close this bundle of joy was to the "Big Ending"

I don't know how full my house is eventually going to get if I keep this up, but I can't stand the thought of any creature suffering if I have the means to help...

They are absolutely no trouble and I have found them to be a source of joy, peace and love....

Few hints though.. If you do these things, your housemates will have no reason to not get one...

1. Comb them often... Almost eliminates shedding and they love it....

2. Have some old wood or scratch posts around. Keeps them away from the furniture.

3. Get a spray bottle to keep them off the furniture.

4. Keep plenty of litter in the litter box and clean it often.

Contrary to popular belief, they learn as easily as Dogs. They are just so darned independent that THEY decide what to do and when to do it....

I don't know what I did all those years without one..

Oh, thats the Cutest thing!

I love cats!

I really do is that a bad thing? Dogs are just diffrent.

I really miss my cat now... i need to go to the parents and see her... poor kitty.

A few months ago, at my apratment complex, one of the homeless cats had kittens, and i grabbed one of them, and gave it to my sister, she loves the little guy, cats are so nice.

Aw Semper you are a sweet soul.BamBam is so adorable. Iam sure over the years your kindness will be repaid many times over with kitty affection.
Cats are the coolest pets.

I love cats as well. I prefer them outside though. They do a fine job of keeping rats from entering the house and destroying air ducts or whatever else they can sink their K-9s into.

We have 3 semi feral that live on our little farm as well...

You are 100% correct, they keep rats, mice and snakes away....Besides they are cool to watch...

Very Cute! I can't have long haired cats though, I'm allergic to them. So pretty though with a touch of calico. Calico's are my favorite cats

Semper, it's official you are really just a softie. What a doll. I have cats and can't imagine being without them. It's so nice to come home to my cats and dogs they love us no matter what.

Awwwwwww!!!!! BamBam is SO cute!!!!

All my kitties for the past 25 years have been rescue kitties -- I generally pick adult cats (and older ones) because they're the least rescued.

BamBam just got back from the Doctors....

He has a bad cold and a fever... They hydrated him and gave him some antibiotics....

He already looks and acts a lot better.. More active...

I was really worried, he is so small and helpless...

So, everyone give some good positive energy his way.......

No Banana for you.....

BamBam is doing a lot better.. The antibiotics kicked in and we have been forcing fluids in him...

Poor thing still has a sore throat and has difficulty swallowing, but he is improving...

Here he is...

As you can see. he lost some weight, but he is eating now at least a little and just got him some Goats milk to sooth his wittle throat..

Keep sending the love..

Thanks for the update. I was wondering how he was doing. Glad to hear he's feeling better; he'll be up and terrorizing your girls in no time.
