U.S. team to begin disabling Korean nuclear plant

The team of U.S. experts flies to Pyongyang on Thursday to oversee disabling the Yongbyon nuclear reactor, which is capabale of making plutonium for nuclear bombs.

U.S. envoy Christopher Hill said the U.S. team had "a specific list of measures" and would arrive at Yongbyon to begin the dismantling process on Friday or Saturday.

N Korea will receive 100 million tonnes of fuel oil in return for doing this and eventually be taken off the terror supporters list.

If I was on the team sent to dismantle this reactor I would be cacking my dacks. Who knows what sort of shoddy workmanship this old reactor has hidden in its bowels.

I guess it does have to go, my issue is, well, I guess yr right, I was gonna say, nuke energy plants are manly safe based on two disasters in their history -- they're a good source of power but since this thing was designed for weapons I guess they can't re-rig it for energy?
