www.foxnews.com

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — A prosecutor will be asked to consider the case of a boy accused of starting a massive wildfire by playing with matches.

Fueled by ferocious desert winds, the fire quickly spread, burning more than 38,000 acres and destroying 21 homes.

They are not releasing the age of the child nor the exact circumstances, so it's hard to form an opinion on whether he or his parents should be charged with something.

In any case, I guess this is embarrassing for all the so-called experts who claimed this was started by an expert arsonist.

that excuse might hold water, for some of the masses,
but whose to say?

if minors are not permitted to buy or possess cigaretts etc,
why aren't matches, butane lighters etc kept under strict
control too.
I see spray paint is locked up & only sold to adults in the
home-depot stores all thru Phoenix,
why not matches etc?

maybe the youngster was doing the parents a favor by starting the fire,
at a house in which, every day the stressed parents were ranting
about It being taken by the bank any day...
and the youngster did the deed.

i'm just saying this excuse sounds like a cover story....

I don't buy this story. They'll sell it for sure, but I won't buy it.

The kid says he is sorry and he will never do it again !

This is the lone gunman theory re written for a jaded audience

The kid must have had a truckload of matches and some kid of teleportation device.

...but I guess it could have happened that way,
Can i buy something to help ?
What's Britney wearing today ?
