I want a picture up for an avatar, but I can't seem to resize it to the requested pixel amount.

Can anyone help me with a good program to download?

I only have paint and imaging on my laptop.

You can resize using paint. Go to www.tucows.com look under windows- graphics- (might be multimedia) ton of packages there.

try Irfanview, it's a small, but good Freeware photo editing program. It's good enough for resizing pics, but don't expect Photoshop/paint shop pro functions...

Check the tutorials in the Introductions forum
There is one about putting up an avatar, and one about using the upload function

Irfanview is a great program. I use it constantly for my "ghost hunting". It's a great little tool.

You don't get a link from a graphics program. You edit the pic in whatever program you have (Photoshop, Paintshop, Irfan, etc). Save it to your pc. Go to ATS upload area and browse your pc for the picture you just saved. Click the upload button and copy the link it gives you at the top of the upload screen.
It will look like this www.abovetopsecret.com...
