I found this video today on YouTube. I've never seen this video before. Interesting to say the least. It says Nasa video, but no way to confirm this by the video. If this video is old and has been looked at and scrutinized by ATS members, please forgive me for reposting.

that was going to be my guess. Im sure NASA drops stuff from the upper atmosphere all the time.

It's was the NASA Genesis spacecraft. It was supposed to have a parachute deploy to let it float gently back to Earth.
