Well, the Japanese are indulging in Ostrich on a more regular basis apparently, since the occurence of Mad Cow in American Beef and Avian Flu in Asian Poultry, as well as American poultry now. I've not heard of any diseases in them. Apparently it tastes just like beef, with less fat and gristle. Knock yourself out!

you do know humans have more diseases than ANYTHING right...?

and i hope ostrich isn't like emu... emu is like rubber with poo... at least it was one the one time i tried it.

What exactly do you mean, Deep?
After consumption, if the meat in indeed tainted with BSE, or the prions, then it could be contracted by the person who ate it and it could then develop into vCJD.

yes deep it does, it is called CJD or Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, it turns the human brain into mush
