I have another problem, and ask the great and helpful ATS members to give me some advice.
I downloaded from a website called veoh (its like youtube) a Russian series called "Brigada". I can play the movies, but they are without sound!
Picture, but no audio! The movies are in .avi format. I tried playing them with Realplayer 10 gold, WMP-11, Win DVD, Veoh, Quicktime, and divX(yes I
have the codec to play .avi movies). divX told me this:
DivX Player: Unsupported Audio
You may need an additional audio decoder to play the soundtrack of this file.
The file contains a track in the Dolby AC3 Audio (code 8192) format. You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this audio format in order to
hear the soundtrack of this file.
I have tried everything and have not been able to get this videos to play with sound. Note: On the veoh website itself, you can only view 5 minutes of
each video, only if oyu install you can watch the whole thing. And I looked for the so called DirectShow decoder and installed something, but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
