Points Questions

Hey I was looking at some members profiles and i noticed that some of them have quite a decent amount of points but not so many posts or thread replies and no applauses. So where do their points come from.

competitions the mods/admins give thousends away
in their comp that they run occasionaly

I got 10K points for a comp where I had do design a space mission, but there was also a stage a year or so ago where you could tag threads and get points for it. The older the thread the more points you got. So of course you can imagine literally thousands of people hitting the archives . . .

Along with the contests you can do Podcasts, which get you 2,500 points.

And then there is them questions SO asks randomly that are worth points.

Has anyone ever figured out what the post bar means??

They're actually in a vault that requires two admins to turn their keys at the same time to open.

Not to mention the fact that you have to go through the Overlord's office to get to that vault, and he's got this big scary looking hammer hanging on the wall!

I meant the colors.

No, SO still refers to it as the "Mystery Bar", people were trying to figure it out in the thread but no one has found out. I think we all gave up.
