Well I've always been a fan of the "wierd and wonderful".

Check out some of these if you get the chance......

Donnie Darko ....wierd teenager with wierd dreams. Everytime I watch it I see something new!

Powder ...albino kid who has strange electrical powers.

Dark City ... very odd nightime city that is controlled by aliens.

THX1138 ... classic sci-fi/big brother movie.

Meet Joe Black ... The Devil in a suit! (Brad Pitt).

The Virgin Suicides ... 4 teenage girls growing up (and dying) in america.

The Butterfly Effect ... time traveller extraordinaire.

Bicentennial Man ... Android who wants to be human. (Robin Williams).

Baraka ... Surreal look at the world with some excellent 'time-lapse" filming and superb ambient soundtrack.

Contact ... Jodie Foster in Sci-fi timetravelling trip based on the book by Carl Sagan.

Artificial Intelligence ... Android boy in the big bad future.

And I can't believe nobody's mentioned Blade Runner ... Absolute classic with moody filming by Ridley Scott and music by Vangelis.

I like a good nature show/documentary as much as anybody, but that movie is on my worst list. I guess I'm just someone who wants to hear some narration at some point in the proceedings.

I could be here forever with that...but:

The Princess Bride
NeverEnding Story (original only)
Star Wars (all of them..., though in varying degrees...and with a preference for the originals)
LOTR (of course)
Ghostbusters (first one)
MP The Holy Grail
Something About Mary
Wedding Crashers
Die Hard (all)
Army of Darkness (shop smart, shop S-Mart)
Tank Girl (for sheer weirdness)
Pretty much anything by Tarantino or Tim Burton (they've both got some serious screws loose that translate to pure genius)
The Cutting Edge (though I have NO idea why...it just is what it is)
Chronicles of Narnia
Superman and Superman II (after that, they went downhill fast, though the new one wasn't bad)
Terminator (all)
Titanic
ET (and most others by Speilberg)
Hawk the Slayer (it is SO cheesy, but it's classic Swords & Sorcery schlock)
Pan's Labyrinth (if you skipped it due to subtitles, go see it)
