If the universe is as huge and neverending as everyone says it is....then the possibilities of there being other planets with life are maximal....who's to say that a planet like "raxacoricofallapatorious" doesn't exist or that Time Lords aren't real....just give it a thought....

I agree that planets with life probably exist - that doesn't seem far-fetched. However, the idea that an infinite universe would contain at least one example of everything you can possibly imagine is just not true. Infinities are not required to contain more than zero of any one *specific* thing. For example, I could define an infinitely large number which is built by putting a #2 and the #1 and repeating forever (21212121.....) Such an infinite number would contain no #9s no matter how hard you looked for it.

The odds of these things being true are fairly slim due to the simple fact that the universe its self is not infinite.

The shape of the universe relies upon (among a number of things) its density relative to critical density.

Most postulate now that in fact density is nearly equal to unity density, resulting in a flat universe, not spherical or hyperbolic.

What does this mean for us? Well, considering that the universe is flat, and that cosmology is nearly 75% dark energy, we expect the universe to accelerate in its expansion for as long as we can predict... That might put a damper on intergalactic travel!
