Rice Deputy Quits After Query Over Escort Service

Rice Deputy Quits After Query Over Escort Service

Randall L. Tobias, the deputy secretary of state responsible for U.S. foreign aid, abruptly resigned yesterday after he was asked about an upscale escort service allegedly involved in prostitution, U.S. government sources said.

Tobias resigned after ABC News contacted him with questions about the escort service, the sources said. ABC News released a statement last night saying Tobias acknowledged Thursday that he had used the service to provide massages, not sex.

Well you knew some people were going to be caught in the fury of the "Capitol Hill Madam", Tobias said he received massages only, but quit immediately, too bad Wolfowitz and others who have admitted to mistakes don't follow this guy's lead.

Tobias' bio was removed from the USAID website within minutes of the announcement.

How many will fall in this investigation?

A follow up on the USAID members resignation, this NYTimes article gives more backdrop on the DC Madam and the potential for 10,000 names to be released in this DC sex scandal.

Mabe it is only 9,999 now that Tobias quit.

Deborah Jeane Palfrey has not been at all shy about it: for more than a decade she ran an escort service that catered to upscale clients in the nation’s capital, sending college-educated women to men’s homes or hotel rooms.

For about $300, she promised 90 minutes of what she has described as a discreet “legal high-end erotic fantasy service.” But the discreet part is over, after federal authorities charged her with operating a prostitution ring.

“The tentacles of this matter reach far, wide and high into the echelons of power in the United States,” Ms. Palfrey wrote in a court filing last month, as she prepared to release a list of her clients’ telephone numbers and vowed to subpoena her customers — some of whom she described as prominent Washington officials.

You would figure these idiots in Wash. DC would learn by past examples of what happens when these madams get busted. They either give up client lists or they write books. These morons are the same people running this country. If they aren't smart enough to figure this out, imagine what they are doing to our country and our laws.
