First off you really don’t need to use that type of language here.

In the USA as want to say, there’s already to many guns on the streets. You will NEVER, EVER be able to get rid of them.

So our country has decided to take away the sell of guns. Then you will have an underground movement like the mafia use to do. Except only the people who want to kill will have the guns. Not the good people. Weather you realize it or not guns are here to stay.

And again I don't know where you got that comment about the police. I said that if the shooter did not have a weapon in the first place it would not have happened. Remove guns from civilians.

IRA? Get with the times news.bbc.co.uk... The IRA has decommissioned most of its weapons by now. What's left has been stolen by rogue IRA operatives working as criminals.

Obviously killing and crime would still be there, but you are taking away another tool which can be used in crime. A tool which has been created to injure or kill, it has no other purpose than to destroy. Arming everyone else is not a solution.

As I said if Cho did not have the gun or the ability to buy the gun he could not have killed so many people, I don't agree with this "he could have stabbed or run over more people". I haven't seen that done ever. Educate the masses. It all starts in the schools.

As I said a ban on guns IS the solution. Guns have no PURPOSE. If you spent your time on EDUCATING people instead of ARMING people you would not have this problem.

And why don’t we ban cars as well? They are dangerous and many more people die in auto accidents than shootings each year.

I agree with one point you made. We have a lack of education about guns. More people grow up having never been allowed to see a gun or know what they are or what they are for. They’ve never been taught gun safety or shown what a gun can do, if handled incorrectly. We should teach our children to respect guns, just as we teach them to respect a vehicle as they learn to drive. Know how to handle it and how to be safe while operating it. Then you would see a drop in violent gun crimes. Of course this is difficult in an age where preschool and public schools and the local cable networks raise our children.

Guns are for more than just self defense. They are also for hunting. This sport is becoming less and less known, because it is so easy to go to the store and pick up dinner.

Many of our largest cities have gun bans and they also have the highest crime rates. Even the % crime per capita is much higher than cities without gun bans.

We don’t live in some Marxist utopia where all you have to do is say “no more guns” and they all magically disappear and everyone lives happily ever after.

We tried banning alcohol in the 20’s and that is when most of our organized crime syndicates got started. After alcohol was legalized again, they just moved to dealing drugs. Did banning alcohol keep people sober? No; gang wars, alcohol poisoning and lots of basically honest citizens got records for trying to buy a drink.

Kent state (70's) Columbine (90's) and (because it was local) a kid shot 2 kids that were bullying him in east Tennessee (mid-90's) lastly VT (07)... looks like something that happens every ten years... GOD We ARE SO #ED IN THE HEAD IN THIS COUNTRY WE SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO OWN GUNS....

Where did Cho get his gun? He must have had a permit to buy it.

I only pass one security camera to work, and that is AT WORK. For a country with around 10 working speed cameras throughout the entire country surveillence isn't a big issue here.

Oh btw all your phonecalls, emails and net surfing are being monitored through AT&T exchanges with specialized NSA equipment. We're probably monitored as well but doesn't mean that you're safe.

1)CHO was not a licensed to carry concealed weapons citizen... CHO passed a criminal background check (because he hadn't committed a crime before... thats how he got the gun) that is the only way... the gun was registered to CHO but it was registered legally to stay in his HOME to defend it from someone coming in to kill him... had he taken the class to carry it elsewhere he would have been found crazy, denied the weapon and the permit, and would have been denied access to EVER purchasing a gun... It was an Irish Free state from 1922 - 1937, after that we severed all links of governence with the UK. Now that is the 26 counties that make up the Republic Of Ireland. The 6 counties that make up Northern Ireland were still in UK hands since they had a majority Unionist (British) population who wanted to remain within UK. This would have been fine for the minority Nationalists (Irish) who lived there but they were treated as second class citizens, simply because they were Irish and Catholic. That is where the IRA began(in popular post 1960s culture). There is actually several forms of IRA, pre-treaty 1919-1922, treaty 1922-1937 and post treaty 1960s onwards working with socialism and so on.
