The entrance to the Federal Reserve in Miami was closed Tuesday after a suspicious package was found in or near the building.
Miami-Dade County police said a bomb squad was on the scene to check the suspicious package. No vehicles were being allowed in or out of the building.
Brief security alert at Miami Fed triggered by truck
MIAMI, April 10 (Reuters) - A delivery truck triggered a security alert at the Federal Reserve Bank branch in a Miami suburb on Tuesday, police said. The Atlanta branch of the Fed, however, declared the situation was all clear.
"Their system alerted on a delivery truck, which we believe is a vegetable delivery truck. Our bomb squad is en route," Miami-Dade Police spokeswoman Mary Walters said.
