It's great! It has it's own spell checker that works in web forums! Woo-Hoo! Now I don't have to put my work in Word to check the spelling.

There are other features I haven't discovered yet, but this one makes my day!

I highly recommend getting it!

I feel like an idiot for making a thread about this now.
I've had Firefox for years, too, but just got V2 today with the spell checker.

I don't know how long it's been available, but it's brand new to me!

BH - You need to get a tech guy that doesn't still think a mouse is a small rodent!

We've both been using Firefox v1.x for several years... just now managed to get with the program enough to update to v2.x...

Another cool thing my tech support guy just showed me. If you're in a reply window and accidentally close it before finishing your reply, you can get it back with your reply still intact by using the History and Recently Closed Tabs options from the menu bar!

Woo-Hoo!

Firefox Rocks...

I have expeienced problems with Firefox 2.0, with Firefox randomly crashing during page loading.

Never found out why that was happening, but I like Firefox, am using 1.5.

I miss the spell checker, though.

Mechanic, did you have 2.0.0.3? That's what I have and not one problem!

I think I had the very first, 2.0.0. But I'm not 100% on that. Eventually, I'll download the latest version. But so far 1.5.4 is okay...

Thanks...

I just started using Firefox 2.0.0.3 but I don't see any spell checker. Where do find it?

EDIT: never mind...I just found it in the right click popup. I'm so excited about this browser!

KL, I'm glad I'm not the only one to just discover it!

Now, I don't feel so "behind the times".

OMG, have you see all the add-ons you can use with the program?

You can explore and search for them here:

addons.mozilla.org...

I installed:

Adblock - Blocks ad's
All-in-One Sidebar - Displays all browser info on a hideable sidebar
Colorful Tabs - Makes each open tab a different color
Colorzilla - eyedropper tool to get digital color codes from screen
Context Highlight - Highlights words
Cooliris Previews - Preview of all links in a pop up box
Snapper - Screenshot tool

Talk about functionality!

Oh man these add-ons really take it to the next level.

I just installed FoxyTunes, it adds a little music controller to the bottom of the browser frame. It's tiny but it controls whatever player you normally use. I have it controlling iTunes and it works beautifully.

These are freebies, right? I'll check with my "tech guy" next time he's here.
He's out getting my flat tire fixed right now. That's what I call "full-service"!

Oh yeah, it's completely free and a one click operation to install any ad-on.

Browse the Add-ons here:

addons.mozilla.org...

If you see one you like just press the install button and then close and re-open your browser to be able to use whatever you just installed.

It's just as east to remove a add-on...just click uninstall....couldn't be easier.
