RAF consider "Kamikazi" tactics

It should never be asked of anybody to make a greater sacrifice than any other person, however exceptional characters do emerge.

One whom most people will never have heard about was a US Army Air Corps B-17 pilot in the Philippines in December 1941, who became WW2's first kamikaze pilot and dived into a Japanese cruiser.

I have tried to find a link to that story but apologise that I can't find it. I welcome others to post it if they know the story.
