ufo and meteor...or both

So i was walking to my friends house last night at around 10:15, it was a really clear night, there were some airplanes in the sky and i just kept looking up as i was walking to his house, well at one point in an instant there was this really small blue light, really really small ,that was near a star, it just accelerated by the star really fast and did almost a slight change in direction and just disappeared.

the next incident was this really big meter that i saw, it was probably for about half a sec but it was on the other side of the sky so i guess it has nothing to do with the blue light, but the meteor was a great site, i still wonder what the blue light was?

Where are you at?

My wife swears she saw a UFO last night about the same time dude. We live in San Diego and it appears to be kind of bright greyish color - flat round in shape and pretty big in the sky (after I drilled my wife for 15 minutes to get details).
