New French law says that only professional journalists can film acts of violence. Persons doing so face harsher sentence than that for committing the violent crime. PC out of control.

I love France!

Its like the San Fransisco of the world.

Riots, unemployment, backroom deals, refusing to deal with anything head on so they keep making more and more ridiculous laws to try and calm the people without actually fixing anything, its great!

Theres something horribly wrong with your people when they riot at the prospect of actually having to EARN a paycheck.

Sounds like this new one will centralize their media more. Its only a matter of time before its all government run news. Youll have to be licensed and bonded by the government just to tell the folks if it will rain or not. Somebody says something the government doesnt like? Oops license revoked.

Now if the crime they want to stop is idiot kids and this "happy slapping" crap then it isnt a problem of filming the violence. Its a problem of running up and slapping people! Maybe Im wrong but thats assault whether its caught on tape or not.

God, I cant stand France.

sounds like Big Brother control taking more of a grip in France. It will make it easier for them to have more control of the state if this is in fact a law. Obviously they control most of the media so will have complete control of any violence shown on the TV.

Violence by the police forces immediately comes to mind. If only the paid lackey journalists working for their MSM can film such stuff, then Police brutality can never be filmed and shown to the public, unless through the internet.

This is another Facist Law. How long before that law spreads to all EU member states???

The government has also proposed a certification system for Web sites, blog hosters, mobile-phone operators and Internet service providers, identifying them as government-approved sources of information if they adhere to certain rules.

I feel like ranting... But, i will withhold myself, because I don't know enough about France and their culture to make comments about them. But, what I quoted above scares the hell out of me! I can only imagine that certain members of the U.S. government would LOVE to implement something like this on Americans.

Socialism and free speech doesn't work...

yeah, they are certainly trying to gain control over the internet, its not just France but all the EU and USA also. Its hardly surprising though, all the info about 9/11, the Federal Reserve and so many other stories of NWO corruption, much of that has come out on the internet. They already control the mainstream media, they want the internet now. Murdoch bought Myspace last year, as far as I know. I do think it will be a difficult prospect for them though. The internet is probably too big now for them to be able to control it. The WTC7 story last week was a good example. The BBC were removing those clips from google and youtube as fast as they could, but everytime it was deleted someone else just posted it up again.

But you can bet they are going to try to control the internet, they are working hard at it now, they have too much to lose if they don't gain control of it.

When I see things like this now, happening in these democratic countries, I just think, when is it going to be our turn? I don't judge them as much anymore, because I see my country going in the same direction.

Communisum rising, community based policing in most major cities of the world. Civilian spies at every corner. Unions abound, and the State has more control than I can ever remember.

It's not a matter of the French are doing this now, it's a matter of when is it our turn, and can we even stop it from happening?
