A suggestion in regards to Anonymous posting

I have seen a few anonymous posts from knowledgable people seemingly. (I have seen some totally ignorant ones too) The only option available though is to Quote the anonymous input and to start a new thread. I was thinking if it can be done why not offer a button for members to merge the anonymous post into the proper conversation rather then start a whole new thread on an already existing topic. Maybe have it to where 2 members clicking on a vote tab would have it merge. It might also spur the people to actually sign up if they see that their input has some replies rather than off on a seperate page somewhere outside of the thread.

Yes that would possibly work too. I think it would be better then starting a whole new thread on an existing topic. Maybe even a link at the end of the thread to view all anonymous posts in regards to the thread if someone chooses to view them.
