the ten horns

Something that I learned just yesterday that should have been obvious if I had done a little more homework is that the forth beast in Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2 was not the Roman Empire. The kingdom in question here was the Kingdom of Babylon where Nebuchadnezzar reigned. The first 2 kingdoms that reined in his stead were the Medes and the Persians but the Roman Empire that is taught to be the 4th kingdom, apparently never reigned over Babylon. The kingdom here never really fell from the hands of the Seleucid, according to this teacher. Names have changed but the kingdom remained. If, however, the 10 nation Islamic state is formed and includes Iraq then the kingdom will have changed. The point here is that Babylon is the area that is being talked about and hence the Roman Empire and the European Union have nothing to do with this dream.

This may have no bearing on the beast with it's 10 horns and surely has no bearing on the prince who makes the covenant. It is however worth our attention when trying to understand these things for it points to Islam.
