we need to make friends, but very cautiously

this is basically my motto for meeting extraterrestrials whether in the future or as a society. i think we need to completely understand ALL the motives before we jump right into actually accepting any extraterrestrial race even if they have helped us in the past. after all that im sure there will be a good relationship but you have to remember that the possibility of malevolent aliens imo is just a matter of statistics. think of it this way you come to earth as an extraterrestrial... are you going to stick around here for human benefits first or for your own kinds benefits? even if ets havent attacked us yet that does not mean they do not want us for other purposes, its like me giving a gorilla tasty food leading up to a genetic engineering chamber lol. and do not forget that the ET's did just come here and start abducting people against their will even though the aliens know full and well that humans are consious beings, just some food for thought
