that particular date has cropped up a few times in films. this site has a lot of examples (including screenshots).

This one isn't about the date at all. It's about hat happened. Plane flown by RC into the World Trade Center to start a war. This has never been resolved, how they came up with that plot at that time.

well, two of the other films mentioned on that page are definitely relevent...

the long kiss goodnight. in the film it blames the cia for the world trade centre bombing (in real life it was actually the fbi who provided the explosives) but it lays out that the government planned to kill their own people and blame it on muslim terrorists.

the siege in which new york & the twin towers appears yet again and the bad guys are the muslims who just happened to be trained by the cia.

perhaps people should be thinking about things like 'the peacemaker' and 'jericho' for future reference...
