Yeah, I want to see the video also. There must be a site with the video, if the news reached CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo and others...

Here's the msnbc link.

Do ghosts know how to push open a modern, hollow metal door with panic bar openers?

edit: BTW, he is not holding on to railings, but the handles of the panic bar door opener. (look again).

If you look closely to the right of the doorway, you can see an old window/door opening that has been bricked over (look for the header arch).

I wonder if that doorway is original to the castle construction, or if it was added later? The transom window suggests that it was possiblely a later, but not a very recent addition.

Why are ghosts always seen only at in places that the frequented when they were living? Would a ghost take advantage of a modern doorway and door?

I vote hoax.

I altered the pic a little to make it clearer and bigger.

Dunno what it is, but it sure is freaky.

That was my thought. I find the fact that he is holding the panic bars of a modern fire door system open to indicate a less supernatural and a more corporeal source for the image.

I reckon it's a real person, not a ghost, but I don't think it's a publicity stunt or hoax, I think the palace is being used for some, other, purpose...

I've read of situations where ghosts use things that weren't even thought of during their era. So it is possible that Henry knows how to work the oh so technically advanced door.

I just posted on the other thread about this, sorry, didn't realise there were two.

Just thought I'd re-post here as some mentioned they were looking for video.

Original Post:
I saw this when they aired it on UK TV. It was pretty convincing, but I've not been able to find the clip for download.

I did however notice that someone on another message board put together an animated GIF, which isn't far from the quality of the video anyway.

Click here - it's the eighth or ninth post down I think.

the story is actually spookier than the photo..

On several occasions security guards were alerted to an open fire door in an exhibition area of the palace.

After securing the door each time, they returned to their office to view the CCTV footage to see who had opened them.

On the first occasion the footage showed the doors flying wide open, but no evidence of why they had.

On the second, the guards were stunned when a ghostly figure in period dress suddenly appeared on the screen and closed the doors.

The same thing happened on a third day, but again no figure appeared.

Stranger still was that a visitor had noted in the palace's visitor book that she thought she had seen a ghost in that area.

Interesting, but may just be a tourism trick...
