very interresting piece of research done on photosyntheses..
"What this demonstrates is that the Earth had a functioning biosphere before 3.7 billion years ago," Professor Rosing told BBC News Online.

It seems we are, i mean its still not sure, indeed evolving creatures and the time we started may be much furhter away then we first thought..
Photosynthesis is an interresting cycle of chemical reactions, did yall know that mitochondria [our energy fabrics] have theyre own dna...maybe our cells are a mixture of different celltypes who started to live in conjunction long time ago...[symbiont:]

It says in the artile

"For three-quarters of a billion years after its formation, the Earth was being pounded by meteorites. That bombardment only ends around 3.8 billion years ago.

So approx 4.6 Billion years.

Interesting here for a few quick answers.
