Sunderland are the latest club to show an interest in Liverpool starlet Anthony Le Tallec.

The gifted Frenchman could be leaving St Etienne after the arrival of Lamine Sakho, with Norwich City and Crystal Palace already rumoured to be keen on the 20-year-old.

After only three starts in Ligue 1 this term for Les Verts, the Anfield loanee may return to England to improve his chances of regular first team football.

Anthony Le Tallec has confirmed he is cutting short his loan stint with St Etienne in order to return to England.

Three clubs are understood to be keen on signing the Liverpool youngster on a temporary basis - Crystal Palace, Norwich City and Sunderland.

Rafa Benitez also has the option, of course, of keeping the 20-year-old at Anfield, particularly as the injury problems on Merseyside show no sign of letting up.
