Robinho's agent has confirmed his client has shunned Chelsea's overtures in order to secure a move to Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old is seen as the hottest prospect in South America, which automatically makes him one of the world's most wanted players.

Real Madrid, Chelsea and Portuguese giants Benfica have all been jostling to land the Santos star - but Robinho appears to have his heart set on a move to El Santiago Bernabeu.

Robinho's agent Wagner Ribeiro has now confirmed that both the offers from Chelsea and Benfica have been rejected.

Robinho has confirmed that Real Madrid have tabled an 'official offer' to take him to Spain next summer.

The Brazilian has long been a target for Real and was tipped to complete a move to the Santiago Bernabeu during the January transfer window.

However, the kidnap of his mother put paid to the prospect of a rapid transfer being finalised, and the 21-year-old ended up staying at Santos.

I don't think the Robinho saga is over by a long way. As long as he hasn't signed a pre-deal with anyone, Chelsea still have a great chance to sign him and Abromviches billions will surely come into play.
