Newcastle United: Starlet targets Toon deal

Newcastle United youngster Peter Ramage is looking to earn a new deal with the club.

The 21-year-old has broken into Graeme Souness's first team squad this season, but has yet to make his debut.

He is out of contract in the summer and a number of clubs, including Hibernian, are now believed to be keen on offering him terms.

However, Ramage — who has been with Newcastle since he was 10 — is keen to secure a new deal at St James' Park.

well done to the guy, maybe if they have a cup match in which they can field half of there bench and reserves etc he will feature, he got a job on his hands though getting in the first team.

It's about time some of these clubs started to re-develope their youth policy and start bringing some of the English talent through. In the 90's their was a glut of them but now it seems to have slowed down...
