Francesco Totti is to escape further disciplinary action from UEFA for a stamp on Bayer Leverkusen's Carsten Ramelow during the Wednesday night's Champions League game.

The Roma captain appeared to stamp Ramelow after being fouled by the German international but, as he was cautioned by referee Lucilo Baptista at the time, no further action can be taken.

A spokesperson for UEFA said: "The incident was seen by the referee and the player was shown a yellow card. This cannot be overruled."

heres what leverkusen manager thought

Bayer Leverkusen coach Klaus Augenthaler has accused Roma star Francesco Totti of "attempted murder" for his two-footed lunge on Carsten Ramelow.

The Italian international left Ramelow with bruising over his back after landing on him with his studs during the fiery UEFA Champions League encounter behind closed doors in Rome.

Bloody disgrace, thats what it is.

Has the club fined him 4 weeks wages or more?

What makes you laugh is he got away with it.
