European: Bayern - No bid for Kuffour

Bayern Munich have denied reports which suggested two English clubs have made an approach for Ghanaian defender Samuel Kuffour.

Both Liverpool and Newcastle have been linked with the commanding centre half in recent days but Bayern insist no offer has been lodged for the 27-year-old.

"No offer has been received by us," said Bayern press officer Markus Horwick.

Kuffour is, nevertheless, thought to be available if any club matches Bayern's valuation which is believed to be in the region of 6million euros (£4million).

He is out of contract at the end of this season and is not guaranteed a place in Felix Magath's starting line-up due to the arrival of Brazilian international Lucio from Bayer Leverkusen.

i think if he goes whoever gets him is lucky, especially for the price, i think hes a good all round central defender.
