In a fight that could well decide the future of his promising career, the Philippines Z "The Dream" Gorres returns to the ring against rugged Thai fighter Sairung Suwansil in another exciting card at the Mandaue Sports & Cultural Complex on September 4.
WBC founding secretary general Rudy Salud who handles Gorres in partnership with well-known Cebu boxing patron Tony Aldeguer plans to send Gorres to train under Freddie Roach at his Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles on September 8 along with featherweight "People's Champion" Manny Pacquiao and his younger brother, RP super featherweight king Bobby Pacquiao. However, should Gorres lose to the Thai who has a ring record of 32-4 with 21 knockouts he will almost surely not make the US trip.
