The camp of Hasim Rahman has confirmed that talks have taken place to match Rahman against James Toney for a date later in the year.

Rahman who was reported on other sites to be facing Friday "The 13th" Ahunanya (20-2-1, 11 KOs). While he was initially approved as Rahman's next opponent, Ahunanya announced on Friday he also would not face Rahman after a Las Vegas doctor expressed concern over Ahunanya's eyesight during a pre-fight medical exam.

James Toney

That will depend on how James Toney will fare with his fight with Rydell Booker held on September 23rd of this year.

Although Toney has 4 losses. His one loss came to Drake Thadzi, where he was disqualified for coming into the fight overweight.

Won 67 (KOs 43) | Lost 4 | Drawn 2 | Tot 73

Hasim Rahman

Hasim Rahman on the other hand squares off against Terrence Lewis on the 28th of July. Which is Wednesday of this week.

Won 38 (KOs 31) | Lost 5 | Drawn 1 | Tot 44

My predictions will be James Toney being victorius over Rahman. He has more fighting experience and is ranked higher than Rahman. Toneys has a world ranking at position 3, whereas Rahmans at 20. It's a no brainer.
