Boxing: Kirk Johnson Breaks Hand

Kirk Johnson, who defeated Gilbert Martinez by way of an eigth round TKO on Sunday, suffered a broken right hand in the bout. The ring physician stopped the fight due to a large cut over the right eye of Martinez.

It has been said that Johnson (35-2-1, 26 KOs), will likely be inactive for several months. There had been discussions for Johnson to take on several of the up and coming heavyweights. Martinez (18-8-2, 7 KOs), of Roseville, Calif., had lost every round when the ringside doctor stopped the fight due to a severe cut over his right eye

who cares. Kirk Johnson is a nothing Heavyweight with no skills. He should retire and save us all the trouble of seeing him figh again.
