HE stakes are getting higher and higher for Brian Magee and Robin Reid, who clash at the King's Hall on June 26.

Promoter Barry Hearn today revealed that it is highly likely Reid or Magee will fight for the WBC super-middleweight title later this year.

Recently Italian Cristiana Sanavia rocked world boxing by taking the prestigious WBC belt from Markus Beyer and Hearn has since had talks with promoter Wilfred Sauerland who has options on the new champion.

"I can say that the talks went very well and I would say that the winner of Magee and Reid has a very good chance of fighting for the WBC belt," revealed Hearn.

"It maybe that the winner of Magee-Reid will get the next shot or Sanavia will first of all have a re-match with Beyer and then face the winner of Magee-Reid.
