Glasgow Warriors hooker Gordon Bulloch has been named captain of the Scotland squad for the autumn Test series next month.

The 28-year-old last skippered the Scottish team in the World Cup against USA last year.

Scotland head coach Matt Williams has also drafted in four uncapped players for the four-match series, which includes two games against the Wallabies.

Glasgow pair, scrum-half Sam Pinder and flanker John Barclay are also included in the 37-man squad.

The Borders uncapped forwards Ross Ford and Scott MacLeod also feature in the squad for the series of four games.

Bulloch is now relishing the opportunity of captaining the national team again.

I'm still at a loss as to why they replaced Paterson as captain.

Is he still playing?

I'm not the greatest on all of rugby...lol

Why would they pick Bulloch when the last time he captained them was over a year ago?

I think what they're trying to do it rotate the captain so when the next world cup comes they'll have have more players with the experience of being captain.

I guess it's a good idea in a way as if the captain gets injured then they have someone to step straight in.
