These new debates look pretty nice. I just wanted to thank all the people that are taking part. It's great to see intelluctal combatation!

I don't like name calling (Bigdanprice v Mooseofterror:Tobacco Prohibition.), i just want to say. You're supposed to use your head to make a convincing argument. personal references have no place in a debate. It's like the meeting of two samurai:

You enter the room, debate, someone is killed, you bow and then get the # out of the room.

I'm not sure I understand ktp, everyone has a different style of debating. Proving the argument of you opponent wrong is also fair game. I hardly think anything that has happened in our debate is out of line.

It's too bad. It seemed I had drawn the strongest contender and I was looking forward to the debate. Real life can interfere with anyones plans.

Well I look at debating and defaulting like that somethign I said in that IQ thread in RATS: You IQ, potential or ability literally doesn't matter. It depends if you can actually do something with it, which is the hard part. A grudge match, if you will....

I have always found ktprktpr's technique of commentary on debates (completed or in the thick of battle) to be a very interesting adjunct to the work in progress.

I have learned from his analyses, and will use them to kick his ass in July 2004.

Winston being back into it is good for ATS, in all respects.
