Hey everyone. Strangely enough, this came from a children's cartoon as I was flipping through channels, and heard the words "Area 51 Coverup" So..here goes.

This theory goes something like this: If there were aliens and UFOs at Area 51, could the government actually 'leak' out information to the public, that was true, but is too unbelievable...so no one thinks it to be true? What does everyone think about this theory?

If this isn't clear enough, heres a summary: The government leaks out true info that is too crazy to be true, so the public brushes it off.

Thoughts, comments, and questions, welcome! Links to Area 51 sites are welcome.

Its possible, but just as possible as them leaking out lies. Its also just as possible that the information leaks come from attention hungry people who catch unsuspecting peoples attention.

Was it Disney's "Kim Possible" ?
I caught an episode with my kids (4 & 2 yrs old). The premise of the show is the girl , Kim Possible is a super-spy. She's in high school but has ties to international secret agents. She did a favor for someone working at Area 51 and was escorted there with her agent partner. The official explanation from the general who runs Area 51 was that there are UFO's, aliens, and alien technology stored there. They leak out the truth, so that people will not tend to believe the outrageous stories surrounding Area 51. Some kids show huh'? Way to go Disney.

On another note, while watching Nickelodeon's "Fairly Oddparents", the kooky teacher who is trying to steal Timmy Turner's Fairy Godparents, went on a rant about ruling the world with absolute magical power, ending his tirade with screaming "New World Order! New World Order!!"

Kids are learning subliminally the ways of conspiracy.

Area 51 is where they test their new highly secret plane projects. The alien hysteria around it is most likely a decoy so that serious people dismiss it all as kookery. There are declassified CIA documents that plainly state that they would use "aliens" and UFO's as a form of psychological warfare.

It was on Disney Channel, but I don't know the name of the show..though the scene there was a boy, a girl, and a general...in some kind of super computer room.

Probably was.

Area 51 is a secret military testing site. you dont want people knowing about it, for national security reasons. I am not sure bout aliens there, I think we tend to over estimate the power of us govt, it could not cover something that big up.

I had a similar experience watching Recess the movie. It seemed that they were drawing parallels between William Bennett (Children's book of Virtues and past education secretary) and Benedict arnold. Traitor to the Children trying to enforce year-round school. There were also some laser beams moving the moon. I got the sense the entire time i watched it that this wasn't a message to children but a message to me. I could also be crazy.
