This is my opinion.
Exorcism is used to get a person that truly needs attention, said attention.
I agree, these people need help. Religious help ? In their minds, maybe.
In reality, they just need help.

Ya know, I'm never too sure about these kinds of things...

If people were capable of being possessed, then why would it only be those who were of a religious faith? I've never heard of random person X being possessed, only those who are heavy into the religion.

Another thing - because the spirits are in a human body, they are limited by the human's strength? I kept waiting for the old lady to toss people aside (like I'd expect a demon/spirit to do)...

Of course, I might be expecting hollywood magic/effects...

I've personally never known anyone possessed and I'm not religious. But who's to say that they may turn to the church even if they aren't religious because so far I've never seen anyone else tackle it. Everything you ever see about getting rid of the evil spirit involves a priest, a bible and a bottle of holy water.

This is really a controversial topic where everyone's got a different viewpoint on it. All I know is that I feel really sorry for those people who believe they are possessed by a demon and I only hope that they also believe just as strongly that they can be cured by some kind of exorcism performed by a religious institution. That's all that really matters.
