Peter King is a representative (republican) from NY who sent out a directed mail campaign letter, alleging that his opponent David Mejias (running on the democratic ticket for King's seat), is supported by jihadists who want to destroy america and the jews. The mailing was sent to many people, but focused, according to King, on jewish constituents.

If King's claims were true, then perhaps there wouldnt' be a problem. However, the people that have made the dontations (which appear to be around the $300 range), are not violent jihadists, but have actually spoken out against islamic radicalism and condemmed the terror attacks.

Perhaps we've grown used to liars in government, but King actually went one step further, and accepted campaign donations from exactly the same people that he is smearing his opponent for accepting money from.

Fortunately for (chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee) King, he doesn't have to worry. He has raised $1.6 million so far, while his opponent only $256,000. Good to see that someone who's so in tune with the muslim world in on the Security Committee, and good to see that he's accepting political donations from people he considers near terrorists.

This is just too funny. Yet another hypocritical fraud masquerading as a patriot who's only goal in life is to protect us from the evil forces of Islam. God, what a fraud. Wanna bet he gets elected?

I for one am shocked. SHOCKED, I tell you, that a member of a major political party would stoop to such underhanded, duplicitous tactics at election time.

Wait a minute...

There's always Jim Brown running for the Green Party. No Libertarian candidate apparently. Bummer.

TO bad that politics today is run by who lies the first lie and who can get the most money to bribe even more people. King is no different then any other politician or for that matter any other person.
I bet he felt that rising the fear against the jewish person is more valuable then rising it against the regular american person.

In the washington area now, super criminial gangs called party members are running loose and spending your future, but thats ok. Because since this is only a forum it really does not matter, its all about the points and the buddy system.

On the one hand, yeah, this isn't a surprise.

On the other, so what, why stand for this!

Here's his website:
peteking.house.gov...

and email:

[email protected]

This is his DC office phone number:
202 - 225 - 7896

But he can more likely be reached at his homebase office phone number:
516-541-4225

IN the past, they'd hide this kind of crookedness and immorality, keep it out of hte papers. Today, they don't need to, because its masked by the background static of constant news of corruption.

Totally agree. The guy should be called out on it, big-time. And furthermore, vote for the independent candidate of your choosing. (just a suggestion)

And I think there's significantly more in the background static than just news of corruption. In fact, the static is so prevalent anymore, that it's become the foreground.

That's unreal, it's like something out of a comic strip. How low will the politicians of this world go? Just when you think they've plumbed the depths they seem to find another gear and sink a bit further.

Just as disturbing as the hypocrisy demonstrated by this candidate is his willingness to use 9/11 and religious division to further hs own political career.

I hope the voters do the right thing and dump him right where he belongs.
