Skipping through the first half of "The Clash of Cultures" by Samuel P. Huntington, you will find that very question answered with a clear "no". Cultures adapt to some foreign influences as long they fit into their world scheme, yet reject other parts of that culture. For example, drinking Coca Cola has nothing to do with your being buddhist, muslim or christian: as long as it tastes good, why not enjoy it?

I think that is rather simplistic. Coca-Cola is perceived as being American. The same can be said for Disney. You had a huge backlash against Disney when they wanted to open a park in France. But Disney was greeted with open arms in China(the new red menace). On the face of it we have much more in common with France than with China but American culture is much more welcome in Japan and China than anywhere in Europe.

Having a few sushi restaurants in New York doesn't equal "japanization" either

Excellent point
To an extent other cultures influence us as much as we influence them.

Why is American culture so seductive where countries, such as China, have to block US corporate influence?

Can you elaborate on this? Blocking US corporate influence in China is a form of economic protectionism - nothing to do with culture.

Some facts about China.
1. China is a communist country, but with a capitalist goverment ran country with 22-35?% of privatized businesses.
2. China wants to use American "Pop Culture" and "The Modern American Dream" of the 1950s and '70s, so to speak to increase the goverment's economic power.
3. They want to control allowing American companies in, because
a, A Civil War or riots would become more likely and increasing. b, Workers would gradually want to damand more rights. c. Americans would develop a "Good Guy" image in China and that could "destroy" the goverment, if American Constitutional values, etc. became more common there.

Now what's the problems with American Pop Culture in World Culture?

China is not a Communist country, there has never been a
Communist country.

China is a Lenninist/Maoist country with state dictated aspects
of Capitalism.

Communism is an ideology that seeks to establish a future classless,
stateless social organization, based upon common ownership of the
means of production and the absence of private property.
...
However, various offshoots of the Soviet (what critics call the 'Stalinist')
and Maoist interpretations of Marxism-Leninism comprise a particular
branch of communism that has the distinction of having been the primary
driving force for communism in world politics during most of the twentieth
(20th) century.
...
Karl Marx held that society could not be transformed from the capitalist
mode of production to the communist mode of production all at once,
but required a state transitional period which Marx described as the
revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat.
The communist society Marx envisioned emerging from capitalism has
never been implemented, and it remains theoretical; Marx in fact comme-
nted very little on what Communist society would actually look like.
However, the term 'Communism', especially when the word is capitalized,
is often used to refer to the political and economic regimes under commu-
nist parties which claimed to embody the dictatorship of the proletariat.

Wikipedia Communism Article

As we can see said in the article, true Communism, that being Karl Marx's
original idea, has never existed, and most likely never will under the
current greed society of the world.

I think real communism goes both ways. The Native Americans in the US, were some of the closest to achiveing communism, but it didn't last, and they decided to become federated and some still are. But I just think communism can only go so far economicaly, plus all the smart people would riot against those in power, like the Native Americans had, especially, if something goes wrong. They get treated like a bad King and so does thier inter-circle.
