NICOSIA — The Republic of Cyprus has stopped a ship full of North Korean weapons systems bound for Syria.

Officials said Greek Cypriot authorities responded to an alert by Interpol to capture a ship bound for Syria from North Korea. They said security agents found a mobile air defense system and components of a missile launcher.

I have read sources saying it is everything from irrigation pipes..
to weather watching equipment.

I have never known any weathre equipment that requires command and control centers, but what do I know.

North Korea has a big part in the supplying of weapons in the Middle East. It just so happens this one was caught. maybe they will finally take a closer examination to who's who now........

Er, Syria and North Korea are both soveriegn states.
North Korea can sell all the weapons to Syria it wants... and SAM launchers are not WMD.

Where's the issue? Frankly I'm kind of confused as to why the Cypriots think they have the right to seize them. If a third party seized a weapons shipment from the US to Israel, you'd be venting your outrage right now...
