It interesting is while Russia need to transport a larger goods,they would biuld a bigger cargo-airplane, while US want to moving a huge component, they will refit a big cargo-aeroplane.

Why go to the trouble to design and build a whole new frieghter? The modifed will transport the whole wing sections of the 787. Designing an aircraft from scratch for such a limited production run would waste huge $$$$$$. Airbus modifed one of its existing aircraft to create the Beluga that transports parts as well

Yes, you said what I thinking. I think it because the factory separate around US, if transport it by road, maybe lead to huge trouble.

The Russians have also taken a similar route by using an old Bison bomber to carry cargo on its back so they don't always design a new plane.
