Shocking!!!!

According to this report, this invasion of Lebanon by Israel was approved by those in the Bush Administration long before the current conflict over the two soldiers being seized, it was being planned earlier this summer.

Early reports were that the soldiers were within the Lebanon border when captured, then over a short period of time that was changed, now after reading this I have to wonder if they the two soldiers were ordered to be where they were by their superiors to start this conflict?

In this week's issue of the New Yorker, investigative journalist Seymour Hersh reports Israeli officials visited the White House earlier this summer to get a "green light" for an attack on Lebanon. The Bush administration approved, Hersh says, in part to remove Hezbollah as a deterrent to a potential US bombing of Iran. A government consultant said the Bush administration also saw the attack on Lebanon as a "demo" for what it could expect to face in Iran.

Oh, please!

Seymour Hersh, does not explain where he gets this information. Also, it seems highly unlikely that the response for "the party of God" would be equal to the response from IRan if attacked. I fail to see how this could be some kind of test...
