I propose to end the feud between Israel and its neighbors that what we need to establish a federal government much like the United States in that Area. We can call it the United States of the Canaan, USC for short. Moreover, it can have four states, Lebanon, Israel, Al Gaza, and Palestine. I assume that Al Gaza would be a superior identity for the Gaza strip, then simply as the Gaza Strip. In addition, we can position Jerusalem in its own district, the District of Jerusalem, just like Washington in the District of Colombia. Did you notice that the District of Colombia made neither state to claim capital authority over the entire country? Well we should do the same for them.

We can let Jericho be the capital of Palestine, Nazareth can be the capital of Israel, Gaza can be the capital of Al Gaza, and Lebanon can keep Beirut as its capital city. Meanwhile, Jerusalem a holy city for both Muslims and Jews can become the capital for the entire federal state. People in the USC, shall be known as Canaanians or Canaaneans, to not be confused with the Canaanites that ones lived in that region.

The United States of the Canaan must adopt of a constitution that protects the rights of Jews and Muslims alike. In which, extremists are punished by being forced to learn about human rights and the true faith behind Judaism and Islam. This goes for both Jewish and Muslim Extremists.

Israel shall remain a predominately-Jewish state, but must allow freedom of religion. That way Israeli-extremists cannot openly threaten or persecute Muslims and people of other religious beliefs. Likewise Lebanon, Palestine, the Al Gaza will remain predominately Muslims states, but must allow freedom of religion. In this way, Jews and people of other religious beliefs can live or travel into the other states if they choose to.

USC must adopt a single currency. I propose the Jeru... short for Jerusalem. Similar to how the Euro is becoming the single currency through out Europe. This might change later if the Arabic states, (Saudi Arabia to Egypt, Iraq, and Turkey) decide to do something similar to Europe.

The USC must have a constitution as I have said before. I propose these amendments for the Constitution of USC.

I ran out of space so I'll report these in the next post. Sorry for having to double posting though.

Amendment 1: The bill of rights

1) The Freedom of Religion

No government in the USC shall persecute anyone for his or her own religious beliefs within the USC. In addition, no one shall force his or her beliefs of another within the USC. Furthermore, no one shall have his or her religion outspokenly criticized within the USC. However, the Freedom of Religion will not protect someone whom has used their freedom to enact injustice and chaos within the USC.

This means you cannot use religion as an excuse for not following the laws or for openly murdering or harming someone.

2) The Freedom of Speech

No government in the USC shall persecute or forbid anyone for speaking out against the government. However, no one shall openly offend someone base on his or her beliefs. The Freedom of Religion comes before the Freedom of Speech.

This means no malicious depictions of any famous prophets.

3) The Freedom of Press

No government in the USC shall persecute or forbid anyone for any press related materials use to antagonize the government. However, no one shall openly offend someone base on his or her beliefs. The Freedom of Religion comes before the Freedom of Press.

4) The Freedom of Assembly

No government in the USC shall persecute or forbid anyone for the establishment of an assembly in use of antagonizing the government. However, no one shall openly offend someone base on his or her beliefs. The Freedom of Religion comes before the Freedom of Assembly.

5) The Freedom to Self-Defense

One is allowed to learn any decree of martial arts for one's safety, both Jewish and Muslim. One may only use martial arts in self-defense and not in the attempt or provocation of killing someone in self-defense. You may take the life of another in self-defense, only if there was no other option to exercise to prevent such a scenario. However, firearms are prohibited, except in a crisis-situation that requires the mandatory use of firearms such as a war.

6) The right to petition the government for a redress of a formal statement of complaint, generally against an authority figure.

This more openly insures that the people can make a complaint against the government.

Amendment 2: Racial and Gender Equality

Now this amendment might already be adopted, but it insures that fair treatment of people is insured, regardless of Semitic or Arabic backgrounds. On the other hand, if they are a man or a woman.

Amendment 3: Prohibition of the use of Petroleum

This amendment pertains to the use of petroleum products as the use of fuel, except for propane, which is solely for the use of an optional alternative to cooking fuel. Instead, we shall focus on Ethyl Alcohol, a clean burning fuel for both Jews and Muslims alike and mandated in use for all automobiles by the great Henry Ford.

en.wikipedia.org...

Ethyl Alcohol comes from plants such as Globe Artichokes.

en.wikipedia...wiki...

Amendment 4: The USC prohibits the quartering of soldiers (military personnel) in private homes without the owner's consent.

Amendment 5: Protection against unreasonable searches and seizures

Amendment 6: Due process of law shall be insured for each citizen of the USC.

Amendment 7: All cases in which an individual is accused before the law shall be done in the inquisitorial system. This is because the adversary system creates far more chaos than order in a national state.

Amendment 8: Offers the right to jury trial in certain civil trials

Amendment 9: Prohibition of excessive bail or fines, as well as cruel and unusual punishment, which are defined by international laws, common law, and from the religious and philosophical understandings.

Amendment 10: The powers not delegated to the USC by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Amendment 11: The Judicial powers of the USC shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States of the Canaan by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.

Amendment 12: The Legislative power of the USC shall not be construed to extend to any suit or dominion over to be worked against any of the states within the USC.

That means the USC cannot make laws to punish people within either state of the USC.

Amendment 13: The president shall be elected in the following terms…

The first two lines are adopted in term of a unified popular election and an individual state unified popular election.

If there is a tie in the unified popular election, then the individual state unified popular election for which is given at the same time will decide. Furthermore, if that does not work then the government bodies of each state shall vote and decide.

The President serves a five-year-term and up to four terms.

No political parties shall be adopted in practice to elect the president.

Amendment 15: Insures that second and third runner-ups in the election for presidency shall become Vice Presidents and shall serve as Presidents to each house of the legislative body of the USC.

Amendment 16: Insures that each candidate must have successfully passed an Intelligence Examination to insure that the USC does not become like the USA and have someone like Bush as president. In addition, each candidate is allowed to have two assistants for which run in office with him or her as his or her leading supporters. Moreover, the president must be a native-born of the USC and at least 35 years of age.

Amendment 17: The Congress of the USC shall be established in a similar means of the United States except that there shall be Senate comprised of 10 members from each state and a house of representatives comprised of people voted in from each district within the USC. This will enable political and state balance within the legislative branch. Each Representative must be from the district they represent and must be at least 30 years of age. Each Senator must be from the state they represent and must be at least 40 years of age. Each Senator and Representative must pass the intelligence examination before attempting election.

Amendment 18: The Supreme Court of USC shall comprise of a superior court of 4 Superior Justices, each elected from each state and 1 Superior Justice elected by the entire population of the USC. Moreover, there should be of a Lesser Court of two lesser justices appointed into office by the President. Two lesser justices appointed by the Jewish faith in the USC. Two lesser justices appointed by the Islamic faith in the USC. Five lesser justices appointed by each of the Superior Court Justices. Finally, one lesser justice elected by the citizens of the District of Jerusalem. The president can decide to appoint more justices with consent by the Superior Court.

The Superior Court is the True Supreme Court and acts similar to the Supreme Court in the United States. Except they have a little bit more of an authority over political and social matters. And unlike the appointed Justices which are there for life or until removed by the Superior Court or by the Congress of USC, the Superior Justices are elected for into office for ten years a term for as many terms as they can be re-elected.

There shall be no political parties adopted for the election of Superior Justice.

Amendment 19: The USC must follow International laws, unless they go against the constitution of the USC or the Superior Court Justices find them unacceptable and addresses the need of a handicap depiction over such a law to make it friendly and acceptable in interpretation to as a law in the USC.

Amendment 20: There shall be no slavery or in practice anything remotely similar to slavery within the USC.

Continuing onward...

Amendment 21: The voting age requirement is 18 with approved passing of an intelligence examination.

Amendment 22: The USC shall allow Islamic Laws in the states that wish to follow and abide by them and that the Superior Court finds them acceptable. The Superior Court has the right to redefine Islamic laws to best suit the USC in terms of equality and prosperity.

Well since three of the Justices come from Arabic States, I do not think this will be a problem.

Amendment 23: Permits the District of Jerusalem to conduct fair participation as a district in electing a representative in the Congress of USC and allow the citizens of the DJ to vote in national elections for the President and for the national voted in Superior Justice.

Amendment 24: The succession of the President goes to either one of the Vice Presidents or to one of Assistant President if the President should die, subside or removed from office. The Superior Court will decide the appropriate heir between either of the Vice Presidents in succeeding in as President for the remainder of that presidential term. If neither of the Vice Presidents appeared to fit justifiable for the succession as President, then the Superior Court will decide between the Assistant Presidents of the former President.

If one of the Assistant Presidents does become President, then the other Assistant President will remain Assistant President for the remaining part of that term and the Vice Presidents will remain Vice Presidents for the remaining part of that term.

If one of the Vice Presidents does become President, then the other Vice President shall take role, as president to both houses of Congress and the new President's Assistant Presidents shall be the ones he or she has while being Vice President. In addition, the former Assistant Presidents will become temporary Lesser Justices for that term.

Amendment 25: The businesses within the USC shall remain free from government intervention, but they are subjected to democratic socialism. In which all employees have an equal say to transactions and other business decisions, including the firing or letting off employees. In addition, every citizen shall be tax according to his or her income salary. Those with more wealth shall be taxed greater to insure that the poor are taxed less. The wealth accumulated by the wealthy shall be used for government projects to insure a better society or a more prosperous society and hire workers to insure less unemployment.

Amendment 26: The government shall remain free from any religion, except for the decrees already mentioned in the Constitution to insure religious equality between Jews and Muslims.

Well that is it... really long...

So any improvements, suggestions, or comments that need to be made?

I can see that you have put a lot of thought into this. Good work for your efforts. I don't know what the locals would think about this. I suspect there would be plenty of resistance to it.

My main comment is that while you have given much space to freedom of religion issues and I see where you are coming from I would also like to point out that many people want freedom FROM religion. Even without getting into all the religions living together there are plenty of differences within the religions themselves. For example, in Israel the only recognised religion (for Jews) is Orthodox Judaism. Other braches such as conservative and reform and liberal have no legal authority in any matters. Also many Jews are secular but they cannot marry as all marriages must be conducted by an Orthodox rabbi to be recognised. If one chooses not to get married because one does not wish to go through a sham Orthodox ceremony there are potential complications with regards to property and inheritance. Then there are the divorce laws which are just as oppressive for those involved, especially women. The religious and non religious are treated differently in Israel as the Orthodox religious laws are part and parcel of the State. As a consequence there is an unequal treatment of men and women and straight and gay etc. In that respect there is not too much difference between Israel and Iran. Christianity and Islam have their own issues in these regards too.

A persons religious belief, if any, should not be a matter of discrimination. It should be a private matter. Government and laws should be secular and universal and protect all not just some. Perhaps a good scientific education for the citizens of your USC might help in the elimination of superstitous and religious thinking? And no state funding of any religious institutions of any kind except the preservation of historic landmarks.

Shouldn't that which I had highlighted be enough protection from religion?

The only way to stop fighting is if people become tolerant of other people's differences.

That is because Orthodox Judaism is pressed onto people and that will not be allowed, except for perhaps strictly within the state of Israel. It is what the people decide in majority that will determine the fate of Israel and the entire Canaan area.

Well once the USC is established, one way or another, there will be no more differences between people of different religions in their treatment from society and the government.

Good and evil exists within everyone. But the truth is everyone like yourself is trying to do what they believe is right or say what they believe is right or correct or whatever. Nonetheless, once people understand themselves and each other, there will be no more oppression and no more fighting.

Yes that is true, there should be more equality between people. But that will never happen if they resent one another as evil demons.

Perhaps you should consider revising some of my amendments or writing some new ones.

Like everyone must learn about psychology and humanities as directed from the international science panel or something.

What is selfish is disregarding one life because it is not your own. Fact, how many wars has israel started in the mid east? Yeah, it may have been provoked by a rogue rocket attack, but that shooter of that rougue rocket quite possible could've been the orphan to a father who died in the previous generations invasion. This cycle is what blinds both sides to thinking they are correct. And quite frankly, if you think you are correct, I stand by my last post. AAC

Australia is not with out its own problems and contradictions but JH did you know that most of the people that live in Australia are migrants or the children of migrants who have left war torn lands in Europe and other places and are trying to build a peaceful life? So war and its damage is all too familiar to many people there.

If New Zealand ever decided to send a boat load of people (since they have dismantled their Air Force I believe) to invade or kidnap swimmers from Bondi or throw spears, stones or even a rocket or more at Australia I think they would manage to deal with it with out obliterating Auckland and Wellington and all of the North Island infrastructure. I suspect that Australia may even go to the UN to help resolve the issues that NZ may have with Aust.

This is so true. Someone has to say enough is enough and stop the fighting and both sides need to listen to the other as well as be heard then negotiations for a peace with justice is possible. The only real security is to have peaceful relations with one's neighbours. Japan and Australia now have very good relations.

Maybe you should learn some grammar... "you're" = you are.

your is a possessive adjective refering to you.

My method will work... humans regardless of their differences can live peacefully. All they need to do is take the time to understand one another and understand themselves. If you don't do that, you'll never be able to live with anyone.

but why not to use petrol ? some stupid point.....

Oh will you grow up? Petroleum is a dangerous nonrenewable product that can easily be replaced with ethyl alcohol.

and what about the army ?

There shouldn't even be an army to begin with... stop thinking with a paranoid mind.

Of course you need an army, but you certainly don't need it to be main structure of your civilization.

Don't follow the Roman's example. Remember how many problems they went through as a result of allowing the army to become the main structure of their civilization? And what did it do for them, where is the Roman Empire now?

you think for ONE second there can be some mixed arab ? jewish army?

Arabs and Jews fought side by side one another against the Spanish in Spain.

And what if there will be no army at all?

There isn't suppose to be army period, but there should be in the case of an invasion.

But I am not dismembering an army now am I?

what will keep the extream Muslims from making some ethical cleansing ?

You have issues.
Extreme muslims aren't actually muslims and to be honest true muslims like there being non-muslims like Jews around, because it provides them with a tax benefit.

In addition, the Koran completely tells muslims to not turn against Jews.

But if you want to get rid of the extreme arab problem then I would suggest you ask True Muslims to create an organization of bringing the true faith of Islam back into those that have turned away for the thrill or need of establishing discord and destruction.

butcher jews on daily bases in thiere own homeland.

You certainly are an unusual person. I seriously doubt true muslims will allow Jews to be exterminated, because of what is said in the Koran.

Lot of work you did..why not send it to the UN? never know...

But what makes you think it will ever change? They have been at it for over 2000 years now, and before that they warred on each others tribes...

The other problem is that they are more consciously religious than we are, not just a belief you can take care of going to church an hour or two, couple times a month. Before they can be free FROM religion, the whole mind set of the people has to change.

Doesn't that work both ways? I mean didn't Isreal just take the land tossing them out on the sand with no home? What if me and my buddies just tossed you out of your home and sent you off to Uganda... might not you be mad?

So is it really a surprize they get attacked? When America took the Native lands, the Natives got restless too... unfortunately for them we had better fire power...

Seems to me the same thing... but maybe I am blind...

some people just don't understand WHY this hate towerd them comes from , they only see " OMG look at thos poor levanis being bombed to bits by thiere aircraft !"

Okay say I don't understand 2000 years of back and forth hatred... is it over who is right in religion? Well jews, muslims and christians all worship the SAME god, just differ over which version is the right one... then even within that how many different "points of view" are their within each of the three? I can name over 50 of the top of my head... all squabbling over whos interpretation of God is going to be the winner...

God must be having a great laugh over this...

Is it over land? Seems a lot of dying for a bit of sand... maybe Isreal could petiton the UN to find them a new home with greener pastures... like you say it would prosper... let the arabs have their sand... I'm pretty sure God would't care where you worship from... I just can't see Him being so petty over a small chunk of real estate in the cosmic scheme of things...

So please tell me why the HATRED... better yet why do YOU think they Hate each other so much for so long... don't just call us blind, enlighten us...

We had a civil war that put brother against brother, but we got over it and went on with life. Hitler took on and messed up the world, but we got over it... I even know germans and jews who are good friends now. The Japanese are freinds and allies now..

And correct me if I am wrong, but is Isreal not still at peace with Egypt?

Well the other solution is just carpet bomb the whole area and start over
But with all the talk of nukes lately seems someone is considering that option

The best way to prevent confliict between Muslims and Jews is to go back in time to the late 30's, and assasinate the imbeciles responsible for turning away European Jewish refugees fleeing the NAZI's from the US.

Without the mass slaughter of European Jews (who thus have escaped to safety in the US), the mass emigration to Palestine never happens, Zionism dies quietly on the vine, and millions of innocent Jews stay alive, not to mention quite a few innocent Arabs.

The US gets a fresh influx of skilled, educated immigrants, and probably ends the 20th century even richer than it already did.

Now if anyone has a time machine handy, I hereby volunteer.

Without the time machine?
I think it's going to take a lot more blood spilled on all sides before anyone but the nuts in the region (on both sides of the Israeli border) gets the upper hand.
