Amidst air strikes one day after an invasion of Israel into the West bank, Israel has detained seven ministers and twenty others Palestine officials have said. Bridges have also been destroyed to prevent the detained Israeli soldier from being moved.
Israeli troops have detained dozens of Hamas ministers and lawmakers in the West Bank, as its offensive in Gaza to free a captured soldier continues.
At least seven ministers and 20 MPs were rounded up in raids in several towns, Palestinian officials said.

Israeli ground forces meanwhile massed at Gaza's northern border, as troops and tanks dug into positions in the south, a day after they invaded.

I did not read anything about how many people had been killed thus far. This invasion had been expected since the kidnaping of the Israeli soldier and the killing of the Israeli settler. The Plantains are saying it is blackmail to find where the soldier is being held. That may very well be true, but what we do not yet know is what the Palestine militants will do next.
