For some reason, ever since i got Firefox version 1.5.0.1, i've had a few problems with it (i have version 1.5.0.4 now, the newest). So far what's happened is: Re-arrangement of toolbars or hiding said doesn't work, search bar is disabled in a way (all it shows is a magnifying glass and the drop-down menu is blank (when i go to mozilla to add engines, it has the pop-up, but does no more.)) and the only way to bookmark is to drag the address bar into the bookmark menu (ctrl-d doesn't work). (i have XP, by the way)Anyone know what's wrong?

I would uninstall, delete the mozilla folder from your Application data folder, then reinstall. Maybe even download a new copy just to be safe.

Have installed any Windows Updates recently??

I'm thinking that perhaps InternetExplorer has been Updated as well, interfering with your Firefox settings.

Just a thought, as I have not actually had this problem myself.

But as Rasobasi suggested, you might try to completely uninstall, then reinstall Firefox.

That would ensure that Windows sees the settings for Firefox, and not the ones IE may be trying to impose.

I have Firefox 1.5.0.4 myself here. I never allow any Updates to IE.
