Any studies linking paranormal abilities to Genetics??

Has anyone uncovered any serious research (public or private) on the relationship between 'special' abilities and genetics? Could these rare talents coded into our DNA? Or could we be genetically predisposed to access these parts of our brains?

Another way of asking the same essential question is: do special paranormal talents run in the family?

I know several American universities have started to study things that were laughingstocks just a few years back: the collective consciousness project at Princeton, for example. While I would definitely be interested to hear the ATS community's thoughts on this question, I'm especially interested in reading the results of scientific research on the matter.
