WASHINGTON (June 11) - Two cases of mad cow disease in Texas and Alabama seem to have resulted from a mysterious strain that could appear spontaneously in cattle, researchers say.

Government officials are trying to play down differences between the two U.S. cases and the mad cow epidemic that has led to the slaughter of thousands of cattle in Britain since the 1980s.

news.aol.com...

I read a report a few years back stating that US government already knew that a mutant strain of "Mad Cow" was present America. It was precisely because it was a different strain and exhibited different symptoms, that they were able to keep it under cover all this time.

But why should the beef industry collapse just for the sake of the country's health? If you've read anything at all about bovine spongiform encephalopathy then you probably understand it really doesn't matter at this point.

Cow bones are used to bleach sugar, cow hoofs to make gel used in all types of supplements. Cow parts are incorporated in everything from beauty aids to vaccine serums. We've all been exposed, we're all doomed.

I believe that "Mad Cow" will be "the" foretold biological disaster that brings mankind to the brink of extinction.
