Iran to Counteroffer Western Proposal

Iran will make a counteroffer to a Western incentives package aimed at persuading the Islamic country to suspend uranium enrichment and restart negotiations over its nuclear program, the Iranian foreign minister said Saturday.

The counteroffer may be a variation of the package or an entirely new proposal, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said, according to the state-run news agency IRNA.

"We hope that Iran's real proposal, which might come within a modified or new package, will be examined carefully by Europe," he said.

The didn't think that they could just offer trinkets and Iran would give away their inalienable right to enrich nuclear fuel, or did they? There has to be a line somewhere between an Iranian nation armed with Nuclear Weapons, and one that has a full nuclear power cycle.

Failure to do so will mean the end of the NPT, and world wide proliferation.
