I liked the creativity of the tabs, but this streamlined format is much better simply due to faster load times.

Speed always trumps aesthetics. This is commonly referred to in engineering circles as the "Millennium Falcon Principle".

Where's the button for 'My New'?

Really looks and loads faster.

Does anybody know if they will get rid of the rest of the buttons?

S.O.?

I'm on a sluggish dialup, I'll do aything for just a little more speed.

I like it. More room for the important stuff in a reduced window.

I would imagine that it'll probably ease the server load a bit too, which would be a good thing considering the recent outages.

It’s nothing that exiting I’m afraid, I originally started saving screenshots to save thread and forum headlines I thought were important, headlines which were subject to change. From then on it just became automatic, every time there's a change on ATS I save a picture.

New design.

Yes, like yours, slick.

How are you doin'? You're a super mod now? I don't keep a buddy list because I don't want anybody knowing who I like, but you're up here *points at noggin*

Yeah I was wondering the very same thing. I see new posts but it is not the same as my new was. Other then that it does have a nice clean look. now the mac users will be unable to use it w/o icons

All I see different is the buttons, I think I liked it better the old way. Just have to get used to this then.

I dont like to complain but i dont like it. Sorry

The others were easier to see, added color, and didnt look quite so generic.

Ok, if it means loading faster, i guess i can deal with it.

I think it's part of the 'even more shades of gray' plan that Skeptic mentioned a couple of months ago.

Yeah color would be better. That's easily done with these links since they are not graphics but if these links are colorized, the colors wouldn't look good against the grey background, IMO. To me this is a "under construction look". I'm sure there'll be more color added somewhere.

Yeah, kinda plain--why not shades of orange/purple/green/blue with complementary colors. Gray is very plain. But then again if it means cutting costs then ultimately it's a good thing.

No that looks great! The grey goes well! Looks professional.

Very sleek and simple too (KISS).

I gotta vote with this quote. Somehow get color back.

OK, banner added contrast.

Bond, James Bond! Well, knowing ONE of the THREE AMIGOS as I do, my bet would be FASTER LOAD TIMES. Those of us that have T1, T2, T3, Cable or DSL are on top of the world when it comes to FAST LOADS. There are still, unfortunately, lots of folks who are STILL on DIAL-UP..... not by choice... but because the NEW TECHNOLOGY has not reached them. For EVERY graphic that ATS can ELIMINATE.... the FASTER one can get to the reason ATS is here.... to give folks a FORUM for learning about and discussing CONSPIRACIES that are all around EACH OF US!

Just one opinion.

Overall I like it. Looks very "formal".
Only thing I notice that is odd is the space between a post and the date stamp. On some messages the space is huge and on others quite small. In the end it causes the page to be pretty long.

Shaken.... Not STIRRED! I love it. Yes, faster load is good. I think the banners in the big gray area will help with the contrast. Let's see what developes.

That is a nice color.

Very nice with banner.

Personally, I like the blue, but the brown/copper looks ok.

I'm pretty sure that's a function of the post having to stretch to be the same size as your min-profile. So it's actually avatars and custom titles that are making the page so long.
