OK, truth be told, I'm a Food Service Specialist for the USAF [better known as a Combat Cook]. My fiance has Acid Reflux and was given a list of safe foods to eat. I never realized how many foods carry more alkaline than others.

At any rate, I would like to open this thread to anyone who knows the pains of Acid Reflux, and what they eat. I hope to brainstorm some easy recipies so those that have Acid Reflux can expedite a nice meal fast and that's appetizing to eat.

Personally, for my fiance, I make a lot of poultry dishes, such as:

1. Hot Chicken Chef Salad
2. Gourmet Chicken Sandwiches
3. Chicken Catchatori w/ a Light Red Sauce
4. And my favorite, Chicken Quesadillas

If these recipes sound enticing, then let me know. I'll post full recipes once I get your feedback. I got more dishes for ya too!

BTW - I cook entrees with meats other than poultry too.

Well I don't have acid reflux, but I'd sure like to see your Chicken Quesadillas recipe.

I was starting to have some acid reflux over time. I decided to try switching from drinking carbonated sodas to sweetened iced tea. Actually it turned out to be an easy switch, and I save a lot of money. I make batches of iced tea at home. And my acid reflux is now a thing of the past.
